Attack. Overwhelm. Morizos secret popper.

A popper can, at times, out-fish every other bait by a margin that is hard to believe. Competing in the big American tournaments, Morizo Shimizu learned again and again just how powerful – and how frightening – a popper can be.
Ones Bug is the popper he built by pouring in every piece of know-how and skill he asks of the category. He does not reach for it because he wants to catch fish on top; he reaches for it as an aggressive surface pattern, to convert fish that will answer nothing but a topwater.

The tail-up body design cuts air resistance and slices into a headwind for the long casts needed to cover water. The slightly larger, weight-carrying body adds control, so you can hit the spot you picked accurately at long distance.
Spit, bubble and pop – the three elements Morizo demands of a popper – are blended at a high level, and the balance between them is yours to control on the day. Match the bubbles and the sound to whatever is drawing fish best and run an efficient, aggressive surface game.
From a tight turning action that barely moves the lure to a high-speed twitch, the response to rod work is immediate: slow and subtle on a pin spot beside standing timber or a rock wall, fast and fleeing in the backwater.
Four rattle materials – tungsten, brass, steel and glass – each ring at a different frequency. That hybrid rattle sound carries the appeal across a wide range of conditions.
