The Shimano Current Sniper Jig 80g – A Blue Sardine is a versatile sinking saltwater jig built for anglers who need distance, control, and lifelike flash in one compact lure. Its slim, aerodynamic profile launches easily from shore, pier, or boat, while the A Blue Sardine SCALE BOOST finish creates a realistic baitfish look that draws attention in changing light and water conditions.

Key Features

• SCALE BOOST Finish: Composite-pitch holograms mimic natural baitfish scales for enhanced underwater flash and realism.
• Long-Casting Profile: The slim body cuts through air and water, helping anglers reach feeding fish and cover more water efficiently.
• Versatile Presentations: Designed for casting, vertical jigging, suspended fish, and bottom-oriented saltwater techniques.
• Saltwater-Ready Build: Durable construction and a rear treble hook stand up to aggressive strikes from hard-fighting gamefish.

Shimano designed the Current Sniper series for inshore and offshore situations where baitfish-style action is key. Work it through surface feeds, drop it along structure, or jig it near the bottom when predators are holding deep. The sinking action and compact 80g weight make it a strong choice for targeting species such as tuna, yellowtail, striped bass, bonito, and other saltwater gamefish.

This Shimano jig measures 3 7/8 inches and weighs 80g, or 2 7/8 oz, giving it the size and casting power needed for active saltwater fishing.
